TL;DR, is Final Fantasy good?

Disclaimer: This TL;DR review is on Final Fantasy in the “Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster” collection, purchased on the Nintendo Switch, which I paid for. So these opinions are my own.

Positives:

  1. Classic turn based combat.

  2. Ability to turn off random encounters.

  3. Auto equip party members.

  4. Can be over-levelled for encounters.

  5. Serviceable storyline.

  6. Art style! Pixels!

Negatives:

  1. No quest log.

  2. Easy to lose track of places of interest despite map.

TL;DR:

Yes. If you enjoy the genre, are looking for a remastered version of the original or want to try your first JRPG,

JRPG is short for Japanese Role-Playing Game.
